Y’all, the world needs our help! After recent events, I’ve decided to use my platform as a blogger to share ways to help our communities. My first post was about ways to help Napa and Puerto Rico. This particular post is meant to highlight how we can help families that are currently struggling with diaper need! From Napa to Houston to Puerto Rico, so many families are in need of baby supplies, specifically diapers. I’ve teamed up with Huggies to share more information about this need!
Huggies and the National Diaper Bank Network recently completed a study that revealed that 1 out of 3 families in the United States struggle with providing the diapers that their babies need! Whenever I first heard about this need, I thought it was baby just providing diapers for the kiddos. I later found out that the hardship also occurs because while the families do have diapers, they don’t have enough to keep their baby clean and dry as frequently as needed. Upon further research, I also learned that 73% of parents feel that they are inadequate because they have left their children in dirty diapers for too long. As a mother of two little babies, I can’t imagine carrying the weight of that stress on top of all of the other day to day happenings. Because of this extreme need, Huggies and Kroger have teamed up to help!
They’re donating up to 1 million diapers to the National Diaper Bank Network. They are also giving away a free pack of wipes, when Kroger customers purchase 1 Big Pack or 2 Jumbo Packs of Huggies diapers from November 8-December 2. When I found out, I headed over to the closest Kroger to make sure that I did my part!
While my city is still HOUSTON STRONG, we are also still rebuilding from Hurricane Harvey! With that being said, several locations are still accepting donations to transport to the Houston Diaper Bank! Since Houston is so huge, I went online to check out which locations were taking donations! I found the one closest to me, called them and dropped my Huggies Snug & Dry diapers off! If you are in the Houston area and you’re looking to donate to the Houston Diaper Bank, here is more information of how to do that and here are their locations around the city! If you’re not in the Houston area but have a Kroger nearby, I urge you to buy diapers and donate to your local diaper bank as well! Let’s make sure that there are no baby bottoms are unhugged!
